Mumma Musing Series 3 ~ Tash Dignum

Mumma Musing Series 3 ~ Tash Dignum

Welcome to our Mumma Musing Series 3… this month and just in time for Mother's Day, we speak with our beautiful friend and ultimate Mumma Muse, Tash Dignum. Mumma of three, wife, sister, friend and the most nurturing soul, Tash's effortless love she has for her family and those around her inspire us endlessly. Here's a little peek into her life...

Tell us a little about you, your family and your journey into Motherhood...

My name is Tash and I am 32 years old. I have been married to my husband Kane for 10 years and have 3 beautiful babies; Dusty who is 7, Pippi 5 and Rasta 2. My husband and I travelled and danced our way around the world before having kids (my husband is a DJ) and after a few years of so much fun together we decided it was time for a baby to join our family!

What does Motherhood mean to you?

I have always wanted to be a Mum since I was so young! For me though, having a family like I do means the most. Having 2 parents in a strong relationship and 3 kids made from love is something that deeply means a lot to me.

Motherhood is no easy feat, who do you look to for inspiration, motivation and advice?

To be honest I feel like my husband is my go-to for advice. We parent very equally so he is my number one! I do have some very beautiful mum friends I have made over my years of motherhood and there is always a group text open for advice (and rants haha).

What part of becoming a parent did you find most challenging or unexpected?

For me, I think it was actually breastfeeding! I was very determined to breastfeed and knew I wanted to do it for as long as we could! What I never knew or heard of was how painful it would be at the start! Every time they would latch I would curl my toes and swear under my breath haha, it hurt me so much! All three of my baby’s I actually used nipple shields to give my nipples a rest and they were an absolute lifesaver for me!

What part of Motherhood brings you the most joy and happiness?

Absolutely my kids happiness! Seeing all three love on each other the way they do and going on our adventures, watching them just absolutely go with the flow of Kane and I. They are the best kids ever!

How do you juggle work, life, family?

I am really lucky that my husband’s job is mostly on the weekend and it’s afternoon/night work so he is home a lot through the day and is able to do a lot. We are really close to both of our families so if Kane or I have work to do at the same time someone is normally able to help us out which is amazing.

What do you (or did you) love most about your Bubba Cloud Baby Lounger?

We loved our Bubba Cloud! It's really like they are laying in a big comfy cloud. The best thing about it though is you can literally take it anywhere. We used ours down the beach so many times! I actually gifted my sister one for her baby shower and they have gotten so much use out of it too and loved it! She has now bought a few for baby shower presents aswell.

If you could give one piece of advice to a new/expecting mother, what would it be?

Do what is right for your family. You honestly will be given so much advice, conflicting advice at times! But do what feels right for you and for your family.
